Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Joseph's Academy walked away with it. They beat the Edna Karr Cougars on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-3. The Redstickers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for St. Joseph's Academy and bumps their season record up to 13-17. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Edna Karr, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Coming up, St. Joseph's Academy is taking a road trip to challenge St. Thomas More at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Redstickers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Edna Karr does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
