The Westbrook Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their tenth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 55-33 defeat at the hands of Lyman Memorial. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Westbrook of the 62-44 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.
Kevin Botticello continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lyman Memorial, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. Botticello also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Jordan Chandler, who scored 12 points.
Westbrook dropped their record down to 1-14 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Lyman Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-12 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westbrook will challenge Portland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Portland has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Lyman Memorial, they will head out on the road to challenge Wheeler at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Lyman Memorial's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
