Last Thursday, Jackson had to suffer through a rough 68-36 loss at the hands of Starr's Mill. While losing is never fun, Jackson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 447th, while Starr's Mill is ranked 83rd).
Despite the loss, Jackson got a solid performance out of Jaydyn Scott, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Lamar County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 56-52 to Social Circle. Lamar County has struggled against Social Circle recently, as their game on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Jackson has yet to win a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 0-5 record. As for Lamar County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Jackson strolled past Lamar County in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 71-57. Will Jackson repeat their success, or does Lamar County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
