Peyton is 8-0 against Fountain Valley since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Peyton Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Fountain Valley Danes at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Peyton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday.
Even though Swallows Charter Academy scored an imposing 59 points, Peyton still came out on top. Peyton walked away with a 68-59 win over Swallows Charter Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Peyton.
Peyton's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ayden Breese, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks, and Michael Perry, who scored 24 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Perry is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Gatti, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Fountain Valley had to suffer through a rough 80-46 loss at the hands of Banning Lewis Academy. Fountain Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-19.
Peyton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Fountain Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Peyton strolled past Fountain Valley in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 50-35. Will Peyton repeat their success, or does Fountain Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
