The Charlotte Lab School Lions will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Sugar Creek Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 87-28, which was the final score in Charlotte Lab School's tilt against Carolina International back in January. While losing is never fun, Charlotte Lab School can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 630th, while Carolina International is ranked 211th).
Meanwhile, Sugar Creek didn't have too much trouble with Garinger on the road on Friday as they won 72-53. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sugar Creek.
Terry Watson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with three steals. Aidan Gatewood was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Charlotte Lab School dropped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Sugar Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Charlotte Lab School, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-42 loss to Sugar Creek in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Gatewood, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Now that Charlotte Lab School knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
