Mercer typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Hickory proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Mercer Mustangs with a sharp 68-47 victory. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Hickory's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Mercer, they moved to 11-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
