Volleyball Recap: Denton's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After a string of four wins, Denton's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sherman Bearcats. The Broncos were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bearcats from their previous meeting back in October of 2017.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19, 19-25, 25-13.

Denton's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Sherman, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Denton and Sherman could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Broncos will challenge Frisco at 6:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (418 vs. 203). Meanwhile, Sherman (ranked 576th) will meet Lovejoy (ranked fourth) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
