It was a good run, but the North Thurston Rams unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to Timberline. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why North Thurston lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ray Adams. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Adams hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Gentry, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Kaydn Ward was a one-man wrecking crew for Timberline as he scored 17 points along with seven assists. Another player making a difference was Darrell Gipson, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
North Thurston's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-3. As for Timberline, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
North Thurston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Timberline also has no future games currently scheduled.
