Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Stoneman Douglas suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by South Broward at home and fell 65-25. Stoneman Douglas was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-14.
Meanwhile, Northeast took a serious blow against Western on Wednesday, falling 70-37. While losing is never fun, Northeast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Western is ranked 30th).
Stoneman Douglas has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Northeast, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Stoneman Douglas took a serious blow against Northeast in their previous meeting back in December of 2021, falling 63-24. Can Stoneman Douglas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
