Booneville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Itawamba Agricultural, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Blue Devils' pitchers stepped up to hand the Indians an 11-0 shutout on Saturday. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

The win was the eighth in a row for Booneville, bringing their record up to 14-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Itawamba Agricultural, they moved to 21-4 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Booneville and Itawamba Agricultural should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings. The Blue Devils (ranked 18th) will meet Belmont (ranked 112th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Itawamba Agricultural will challenge Sulligent at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (13 vs. 115).
