With a playoff game on the line, the Cedar Park Timberwolves rose to the challenge on Friday. They secured a 20-16 W over Canyon. The victory was familiar territory for Cedar Park who now have five in a row.
Cedar Park found their leader in underclassman Trae Hill, who rushed for 83 yards and two touchdowns.
Cedar Park's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-8 Leander and 3-7 Hendrickson (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 38.4% over those games). As for Canyon, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.
Cedar Park will head out on the road to face off against Angleton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
