The Amistad Wolves won the last time they faced the Whitney RVT Owls, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Amistad blew past the Owls, posting a 48-8 victory on the road.
Leading Amistad to victory were Fatema Thomas and LaShaya Patterson. Thomas scored 16 points along with three steals and two blocks, while Patterson scored 12 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Patterson is crushing the block category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Latoya Craig, who scored five points along with five steals.
The victory got Amistad back to even at 8-8. As for Whitney RVT, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Amistad will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. As for Whitney RVT, they will head out on the road to face off against the Condors at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Connecticut (O'Brien RVT is ranked 159th, while the Owls are ranked 158th).
