Braden River is 2-8 against Palmetto since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Braden River will square off against Palmetto at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Braden River's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Southeast. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Seminoles: they've now won seven in a row.

Maddie Kasch made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Kasch was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sheila Moreno, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Leighton Paul, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Braden River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southeast only posted an OBP of .273.
Meanwhile, Palmetto got the win against Sumner on Friday by a conclusive 10-0. Considering the Tigers have won four games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Braden River, Palmetto also got a great game from a two-way player: MaKenna Lee. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Lee has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That home run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Palmetto let Kalen Capps and Caroline Craft run wild. Capps scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2, while Craft scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Capps also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was LeiLani Cruz, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
The win made it two in a row for Palmetto and bumps their season record up to 7-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Braden River, their record is now 3-9.
Braden River couldn't quite get it done against Palmetto in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-3. Can Braden River avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
