On Saturday, Hawkins strolled past Maywood CES with points to spare, taking the game 49-35.
Hawkins had a senior duo take command as Robert Stewart scored 14 points and De'Meiko Crawford scored 11 points.
Hawkins has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season. As for Maywood CES, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hawkins will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Harbor Teacher at 4:30 p.m. on January 29th. Harbor Teacher is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Maywood CES, they will head out on the road to square off against Torres at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Torres is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
