Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Avant Garde Academy Sharks, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 67-0 loss at the hands of Chaminade-Madonna on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Avant Garde Academy in their matchups with Chaminade-Madonna: they've now lost four in a row.
Leading Chaminade-Madonna to victory were Arwin Jackson and Cedrick Bailey. Jackson rushed for 58 yards and two touchdowns, while Bailey threw for 106 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played.
Avant Garde Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Chaminade-Madonna, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Avant Garde Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chaminade-Madonna will be playing in front of their home fans against Cardinal Newman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cardinal Newman is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
