The Morse Shipbuilders pushed their score all the way to 58 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They had to suffer through a rough 86-58 loss at the hands of Lincoln Academy. Morse has struggled against Lincoln Academy recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Morse lost, one person who can't be blamed is Trace McFarland. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Calin Gould, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Morse has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Lincoln Academy, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Morse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lincoln Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
