The Tonopah Valley Phoenix can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They blew past San Pasqual Valley, posting a 67-33 victory at home. That looming 67-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Tonopah Valley yet this season.
Tonopah Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Quintin Keys, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Keys has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Konner Bruner, who scored 15 points.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Solomon Durand, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Isaiah Martinez was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds and four blocks.
Tonopah Valley's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-13. As for San Pasqual Valley, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tonopah Valley will take on the Minotaur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Odyssey Institute has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30. As for San Pasqual Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Sidewinders at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th.
