Verbum Dei fell to Nordhoff 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nigel Beckles ran for 96 yards in the defeat.
Bishop Montgomery made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,020 from 10,092. The advance stemmed from a 42-13 victory over the Knights last week.
La Salle's dynamic duo of Will Pyburn and Jared Akins proved tough for Carpinteria to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Pyburn threw for 158 yards and 1 touchdown and Akins had 51 yards receiving. Bryce Harvey helped La Salle's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 57 yards.
Sammy Martinez made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Lancers fell to the Warriors. He grabbed 1 sack.
St. Bernard's Steven Chavez and Brandon Bailey led Del Rey in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Chavez has thrown for 2,507 yards this season, while Bailey has 40 catches for 605 yards. Jacob LaRue from Verbum Dei leads the league in rushing with 2,068 yards.
La Salle led the league in points allowed with 31.
