River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Penns Manor Comets. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.
River Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Twinchek, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Trinity Boyd also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Penns Manor, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
