After flying high against the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf Lions last Tuesday, Plants and Pillars HomeSchool came back down to earth. Plants and Pillars HomeSchool received a tough blow on Tuesday as they fell 39-25 to the Royals. Having soared to a lofty 59 points in the game before, Plants and Pillars HomeSchool couldn't push the score so high this time.
Jefferson County Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Seth Gum led the charge by scoring six points along with six rebounds and four steals. Gum has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ben Adams, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Plants and Pillars HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Jefferson County Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.
Plants and Pillars HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jefferson County Christian will be playing at home against the at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (Portersville Christian is ranked 490th in Pennsylvania, while the Royals are ranked 503rd in Ohio).
