Softball Recap: Napavine Starts Season with Win Against Rochester

Napavine had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Rochester Warriors on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won four contests in a row dating back to last season.

Hannah Fay was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Lyla Kirkpatrick, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Rochester's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Napavine wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Non Varsity Opponent on the 13th. As for Rochester, they are taking a road trip to square off against Elma at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The game will give Elma their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
