Make it seven blowout wins for the Flanagan Falcons this season. They blew past Coral Glades, posting a 47-10 victory at home. The victory was nothing new for Flanagan as they're now sitting on three straight.
Flanagan found their leader in underclassman D?naela Myers, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Myers is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Melissa Ayebah, who scored eight points along with seven steals.
Flanagan has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Coral Glades, they bumped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Flanagan will take on Somerset Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Somerset Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Flanagan in Florida (Somerset Prep is ranked 19th, while Flanagan is ranked 224th). As for Coral Glades, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stranahan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stranahan comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
