Clinton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Onsted a 20-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Redskins have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Lola Szczesniak was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kylinn Long and Mya Popkey did most of the damage at the plate: Long went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs, while Popkey went 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Those six RBI gave Long a new career-high. Lydia Ormsby was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.
Clinton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .591. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Napoleon got the win against Leslie on Tuesday by a conclusive 16-6.
Kaitlyn Fall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Molly Simpson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Haven Marker, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Napoleon now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Clinton, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.
Napoleon's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Clinton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .485. It's a different story for Napoleon, though, as they've only averaged .350. Will they be able to contain Clinton's hitters?
Clinton got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 against Napoleon by a conclusive 15-3 score. Will the Redskins repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
