Davies Career & Tech and Tiverton are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Patriots will head out to challenge the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Davies Career & Tech comes in on three and Tiverton on seven.
Davies Career & Tech is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over Central Falls on Friday. With that victory, the Patriots brought their scoring average up to 8 runs per game.

Gabriella Fisher made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, Davies Career & Tech got a big performance out of Kylie Robert, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Robert has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ayla Burlingham, who scored four runs and stole two bases.
Davies Career & Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .722. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Tiverton hadn't done well against Middletown recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Islanders. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by ten runs or more this season.
Like Davies Career & Tech, Tiverton also got a great game from a two-way player: Lia Doster. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Those 11 strikeouts gave Doster a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.
In other batting news, Tiverton let Sara Poland and Sadie Pickering run wild. Poland went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Pickering went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Pickering has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jersey-Ann Hastie, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Tiverton pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Davies Career & Tech, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Davies Career & Tech has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .507. However, it's not like Tiverton struggles in that department as they've averaged .510. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Davies Career & Tech came out on top in a nail-biter against Tiverton in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 11-9. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
