After flying high against the Natoma Tigers back in December of 2023, Logan/Palco came back down to earth. Logan/Palco fell just short of Lakeside by a score of 48-46. Logan/Palco lost against Lakeside in their previous head to head back in January of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 62-22 score last time.
Despite the loss, Logan/Palco still got an impressive performance from Ansley Delimont, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mara Kats, who scored 16 points.
Lauren Brummet was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds for Lakeside. The matchup was Brummet's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Marley McCoy, who scored 11 points.
Logan/Palco's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-5. As for Lakeside, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5.
Logan/Palco will take on Plainville at 4:00 p.m. on January 11th. As for Lakeside, they will head out on the road to face off against Pike Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
