Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy entered their tilt with Burns on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They took down the Burns Bulldogs 54-35. The Gryphons pushed the score to 46-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.

When it comes to explaining why Burns lost, don't look at Kaylee Greene. Despite the final result, she posted 22 points and four steals. Greene has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Wallace, who put up two points in addition to seven boards and four steals.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Burns, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-5.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-15 win against East Gaston on the 15th. As for Burns, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-54 victory against Bessemer City on the 14th.
