The Delone Catholic Squires will challenge the Bermudian Springs Eagles at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  the two teams posted some lofty  run totals in their previous games.
On Monday, Delone Catholic got the win against York County Tech  by a conclusive  17-1. The Squires have beaten the Spartans the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Spartans has come to flipping the script.
 Adyson Hummer made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Those  hits marked the first that  she  allowed this season. She was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-3. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Teagan Funkhouser was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Caylee Zortman, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.
 Delone Catholic was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .680. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .310 or higher in four consecutive  matches.
Meanwhile, Bermudian Springs was not the first on the board  on Monday, but they got there more often. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Fairfield  10-8. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Eagles.
Like Delone Catholic, Bermudian Springs also got a great game from a two-way player:  C Kittinger. She  struck out six batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits (and only one walk). Kittinger has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Sydney Kuntz, who  went 2-for-5 with one  home run and three  RBI.  Katelyn Willow was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 Delone Catholic's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Bermudian Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Wednesday's   contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Delone Catholic hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .353. However, it's not like Bermudian Springs struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
