Tunkhannock has gone a perfect 10-0 against Wyoming Valley West recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Spartans at 4:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Tunkhannock had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Williamsport on Monday. The Tigers blew past the Millionaires 10-3. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

McKenzie Hannon made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Taryn Newswanger was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Kayden Bamberger also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wyoming Valley West, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They put the hurt on Hanover Area with a sharp 15-5 victory on Thursday. The Spartans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
The team relied heavily on Isabella Seip, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Natalie Geffert was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Wyoming Valley West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Wyoming Valley West's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Tunkhannock, their record is now 9-1.
Wyoming Valley West's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tunkhannock hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .417. It's a different story for Wyoming Valley West, though, as they've only averaged .256. Will they be able to contain Tunkhannock's hitters?
