On Friday, the Alchesay Falcons made easy work of the Buena Colts and carried off a 51-30 victory. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alchesay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton Parker, who went 6 for 8 on her way to 12 points and four steals. Parker continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lenea Lavender, who posted 14 points and three steals.
The win got Alchesay back to even at 8-8. As for Buena, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Alchesay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 39-35 victory against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy on the 28th. As for Buena, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cholla at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
