The Nova Titans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They lost to Pembroke Pines Charter at home by a decisive 27-8 margin. Nova lost against Pembroke Pines Charter in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 32-14 score last time.
Among those leading the charge was Jayden Gonzalez, who threw for 352 yards and three touchdowns while completing 79.4% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Clement, who picked up 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Pembroke Pines Charter's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB ten times. It was a group effort, with three guys contributing.
Nova's loss was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nova will challenge South Plantation at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (South Plantation is ranked 414th, while Nova is ranked 426th). As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they will head out on the road to face off against American at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
