They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Faith Baptist School Falcons 48-21. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.
Holly Grove Christian can attribute much of their success to Samantha Porter, who went 7-for-9 en route to 16 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Porter a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Bethanie Parks, who posted nine points.
Holly Grove Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Faith Baptist School only posted one assist.
Faith Baptist School lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Bridget Binkley, who scored eight points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiersten Yates HS, who had four points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Holly Grove Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.0 points over those games. As for Faith Baptist School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
