The Central Eagles's 17-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were dealt a 71-37 loss at the hands of Darlington on Tuesday. Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-12.
Despite the loss, Central saw an underclassman step up: Demetrius Myers scored 10 points. Dillon Seegars was another key contributor, scoring 4 points.
Central now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Darlington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
Central will head out on the road to face off against Lewisville at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lewisville will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Darlington will take on Wilson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wilson and Darlington are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
