Edgemont is 2-8 against Morrill since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Edgemont Moguls will head out on the road to face off against the Morrill Lions at 4:00 p.m. Hopefully Edgemont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Edgemont had to suffer through a rough 77-17 loss at the hands of Wall. Edgemont has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sebastian Morse put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Morrill struggled with assists on Saturday (Kimball had 1300% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Morrill took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kimball.
Morrill's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Pittman Ashwin, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks, and Wyler Fisher who scored 20 points. Fisher scored a full 51.3% of Morrill's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Edgemont's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Morrill, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Edgemont took a serious blow against Morrill in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 48-14. Can Edgemont avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
