The Sullivan Golden Arrows will be playing in front of their home fans against the Brown County Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sullivan will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Sullivan posted their biggest victory yet this season on Saturday. They blew past White River Valley 73-43 at home. Given Sullivan's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while White River Valley is ranked 356th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Marcus Roshel, who scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Cooper Bock was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
Brown County suffered their biggest defeat since November 21, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 87-62 walloping at the hands of Monrovia. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brown County in their matchups with Monrovia: they've now lost six in a row.
Sullivan is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Brown County, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Sullivan against Brown County in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 67-34 win. Will Sullivan repeat their success, or does Brown County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
