A District 5 recap September 24, 2013
Wynnewood's Tyler Keith rumbled for the longest rushing play in A District 5 this season in his game against Healdton last week. Keith's team topped the Bulldogs as he sprinted for 70 yards on the play and finished with 70 in all.
Caddo was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to fourth in the league. The Bruins defeated Durant 34-20 earlier in the week.
Wynnewood's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Savages feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Pete Carter has thrown for 217 yards and 2 touchdowns this season, while J.D. Flowers has 4 catches for 107 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Caddo takes on Stratford. Jeremy Proctor's team is in fourth place, while the Bulldogs are in third place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Bruins take on Stratford. Caddo has allowed 34 points this season, while Robert McDown's team has given up 30. The Bruins allowed 20 points last week as they bested the Lions.
Wewoka moved up to 160 from 190 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in A District 5. The Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of topping Konawa 28-21.
