Last Monday, Excel Christian strolled past enCompass Academy with points to spare, taking the game 53-35. The win was just what Excel Christian needed coming off of a 64-27 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Mineral County entered their tilt with Sage Ridge with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Mineral County breezed by Sage Ridge on the road to the tune of 79-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Mineral County has posted since December 1, 2023.
DeVayne Isom continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with eight steals and seven assists. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Triston Jones was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Excel Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Mineral County, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
