This season hasn't been kind to the Timberline Spartans, who are still winless after their fifth game. They were outmatched by Lakeside on the road and fell 96-28. Timberline was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 61-18.
Lakeside was led to victory by Brutis Sijohn and Tyson Charley . Sijohn dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 assists, while Charley scored 21 points along with eight assists and five steals. That's the first time this season that Sijohn posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Hendrix, who scored 19 points.
Timberline's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lakeside, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Timberline will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Highland at 7:30 p.m. on January 11, 2024. As for Lakeside, they will head out on the road to face off against Wellpinit at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Wellpinit's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
