River Mill has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Chatham Charter has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. Peyton Tubbs put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. In other batting news, Owen Parrish was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing four bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Noah Jackson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. River Mill has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Chatham Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
