The Providence School Stallions won the last time they faced the Rockledge Raiders, and things went their way on Saturday too. Providence School came out on top against Rockledge by a score of 62-54. The win made it back-to-back wins for Providence School.
Providence School had a senior duo take command as Caleb Mcabee scored 18 points along with two steals and Chris Arias scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. Abdul Mansaray was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Rockledge's loss came despite strong showings from Terrence Shannon and Ryan Blount. Shannon scored 13 points along with five assists, while Blount scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Kiori Jordan-thomas, who scored eight points.
Providence School has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Rockledge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence School will take on Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverside is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Rockledge, they will be playing at home against Cocoa at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cocoa will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while Rockledge is ranked 41st).
