Soccer Recap: Jonesboro Starts Season with Win Against Morrow

Jonesboro took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Morrow Mustangs. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jonesboro hit Morrow with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Olivia Dawson (2), Mareli Mendoza, and Stephanie Bibiano.

This is the second loss in a row for Morrow and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jonesboro will host Mt. Zion at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morrow, they will square off against Drew at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
