The Paulding Panthers took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (barely). They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Edon 37-35.
Paulding found their leader in underclassman Kayleigh Dunham, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Schlatter, who scored 3 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Paulding's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Edon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paulding will challenge Lincolnview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lincolnview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. As for Edon, they will head out on the road to face off against Stryker at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
