After having lost a blowout to Grass Range/Winnett in their previous game, Stanford/Geyser/Denton was happy to find some success on Friday. Stanford/Geyser/Denton snuck past Valier with a 26-20 win. The success represented a nice turnaround for Stanford/Geyser/Denton, who in their last game suffered a tough 0-38 loss.
The win got Stanford/Geyser/Denton back to even at 1-1. The defeat dropped Valier's record to 0-2.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week, Stanford/Geyser/Denton take on Heart Butte . Stanford/Geyser/Denton continues their travels as they hit the road for the second straight contest. As for Valier, they will face off against North Toole County.
