Cle Elum-Roslyn suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 51-14 loss to Cle Elum-Roslyn. The Warriors had been ranked 23rd, but fell to 31 following the defeat.
Cle Elum-Roslyn extended the longest winning streak in 1A South Central - West this week by beating La Salle, 51-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
The Warriors' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Kretschman threw for 172 and two touchdowns and Brennan Burchak had 110 yards receiving. On the ground Jake Gall chipped in 97 yards. Matt Dellinger helped Cle Elum-Roslyn's passing attack out by catching one ball for 37 yards.
Cle Elum-Roslyn's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kretschman has thrown for 492 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Gall has nine catches for 196 yards. Gall leads the league in rushing with 500 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Cle Elum-Roslyn takes on Naches Valley. At the moment, the Warriors are in first, while the Rangers are in fourth.
Goldendale was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in 1A South Central - West. Earlier in the week, the Timberwolves defeated Columbia 21-0.
