Palmyra-Macedon has won four straight games at home, while Mynderse Academy has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Red Raiders will host the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Palmyra-Macedon had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Midlakes on Tuesday. The Red Raiders put the hurt on the Screaming Eagles with a sharp 15-5 victory.
Palmyra-Macedon got a great performance from Seager Emerick as she struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. With that strong performance, Emerick is now averaging an impressive 5.4 strikeouts per game.

Meanwhile, Mynderse Academy got the win against Wayne on Tuesday by a conclusive 12-2. Fans of the Blue Devils have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Haley Young made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kyah Lajewski, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Danielle McDermott, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Palmyra-Macedon has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .470. However, it's not like Mynderse Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .510. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Palmyra-Macedon might still be hurting after the 11-2 loss they got from Mynderse Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Red Raiders have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
