There's no place like home for Genoa Christian Academy, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 58-43 victory over Madison Christian on Friday. For Genoa Christian Academy, this counts as revenge for the 44-40 loss Madison Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Leading Genoa Christian Academy to victory were Cody Griffey and Jackson Kirura. Griffey scored 14 points, while Kirura scored 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Gilham, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Genoa Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Madison Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Genoa Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Patriot Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Madison Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Horizon Science Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
