Queen Anne's County is 7-1 against Parkside since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Lions will host the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Queen Anne's County took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Easton 10-1. Queen Anne's County's win was all the more impressive since the Warriors were averaging only 3.33 runs allowed on the season.
Meanwhile, Parkside never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Snow Hill as they made off with a 16-0 victory. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Natalie Breidenbach made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Julia Bright was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Emma Rickards, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Parkside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in five consecutive matchups.
The victory got Parkside back to even at 8-8-1. As for Queen Anne's County, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
Everything went Queen Anne's County's way against Parkside in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, as Queen Anne's County made off with a 10-1 victory. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
