Show Low has gone a perfect 6-0 against Alchesay recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cougars will challenge the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Show Low will be strutting in after a win while Alchesay will be coming in after a loss.
Show Low gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Blue Ridge 13-7. Considering the Cougars have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Karter Alexander made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one triple and two RBI.

In other batting news, Jonathan Mackenzie was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Easton Hatch was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Show Low kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blue Ridge only managed two hits.
Snowflake hit Alchesay with a seven-run fourth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Falcons came up short against the Lobos, falling 11-1. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Lobos recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Alchesay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Cosay, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.
Show Low's record is now 14-8. As for Alchesay, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Show Low hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. However, it's not like Alchesay struggles in that department as they've averaged .375. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Show Low's way against Alchesay in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as Show Low made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
