Scotia-Glenville and Broadalbin-Perth are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Scotia-Glenville Tartans will be home for the holidays to greet the Broadalbin-Perth Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Scotia-Glenville came up short against Johnstown and fell 48-39. While losing is never fun, Scotia-Glenville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 309th, while Johnstown is ranked 109th).
Meanwhile, Broadalbin-Perth's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. The matchup between Broadalbin-Perth and Amsterdam wasn't particularly close, with Broadalbin-Perth falling 70-51. Broadalbin-Perth has not had much luck with Amsterdam recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Scotia-Glenville's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Broadalbin-Perth, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-4.
Scotia-Glenville lost to Broadalbin-Perth at home by a decisive 67-49 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Scotia-Glenville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
