The Columbia Eagles will take on the Cook Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Columbia comes in on six and Cook on ten.
With a playoff game on the line, Columbia rose to the challenge on Friday. They managed a 18-13 win over the Eagles.
Cameron Graves and Jadan Baugh were among the main playmakers for Columbia as the former rushed for 101 yards on only six carries and the latter gained 58 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Cook beat Appling County on Friday by the very same score they won with last week: 24-14.
Cook relied on the efforts of Drew Folsom, who threw for 131 yards and a touchdown, and Ny'shaun Wallace, who picked up 83 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Cook's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Jaiden Knight and his two sacks.
The last time Columbia lost on the road was back back in September. Having now won three straight away contests, they've pushed their record up to 9-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points per game. As for Cook, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
