Simpson Academy entered their tilt with Park Place Christian Academy on Thursday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over the Park Place Christian Academy Crusaders. Considering the Cougars have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kolt Walker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Gage Smith, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Barrett McKenney was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Smith wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Simpson Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.

Simpson Academy's record is now 10-6. As for Park Place Christian Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-6.

Simpson Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against Park Place Christian Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
